Igapó Institute to Participate in National Moth Week with Event in the Amazon

From July 19 to 22, 2025, Igapó Institute will host a special program at the Adolpho Ducke Reserve (INPA) as part of National Moth Week — an international citizen science event dedicated to the observation and recording of moths worldwide.

This activity is integrated into the second edition of our International Fieldwork Course in the Amazon Rainforest and will be open to the public with prior registration. During nighttime field sessions, participants will have the opportunity to observe the amazing diversity of Amazonian moths in their natural habitat, learn about their ecological role, and contribute scientific records accessible globally.

The initiative promotes the connection between science and society, strengthening public engagement in the conservation of Amazon biodiversity.

Spaces are limited. The registration form will be released soon.
